Taylor
Dennis Taylor earned a Bachelor of Music Education
degree from Central Methodist College and a Master
of Arts degree from Central Missouri State
University. He also completed the coursework and
exams for a Doctor of Arts degree in trumpet
performance and conducting from Ball State
University.
Mr. Taylor's teaching and conducting experience spans levels from Director of Bands for the Smithton, MO public schools, to eight years as Director of Instrumental Music at Shepherd University, and to an appearance as guest conductor with the U.S. Army Concert Band. He has performed in such varied ensembles as the Muncie (IN) Symphony Orchestra, the Whitewater (IN) Opera Company, the Cardinal Brass Quintet, the Road Time Jazz Society, and the funk band Prime Time.
In addition to his duties with the Rockville Brass Band, Mr.Taylor remains musically active as a member of the Beltway Brass Quintet and the Montgomery College Wind Ensemble.
