Vasu Kushalnagar joined the Rockville Brass Band in the spring of 2018. Vasu grew up in Rochester, but now goes to college at the George Washington University here in Washington D.C. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Music and plans to get a graduate degree in music education. He is studying under the direction of Dr. David Perkel and Dr. Gilbert Corella and is proficient on all low brass instruments. While his primary instrument is bass trombone, Vasu enjoys the chance to pick up a part on euphonium or tuba every now and then.
